I have not been very good about keeping up with my blog lately because A) I know very few people actually read it, and B) I have been very busy. I have been busy applying for graduate school and working to save money for graduate school. I have two jobs now, one at The Oaks Gourmet, which is the job I have had for the last year, and a new one at CaffĂ© Etc., where the owner encourages me to speak Italian and calls me to let me know I should come in later in the day because she knows I worked late the night before. It’s great. I love working at a small place where the owner is there all the time and knows the ins and outs of her business. I hope that sentence won’t get me in trouble. It is surprising how much the new job feels like a day off and how much the old job feels like work. There’s just no getting away from it… it’s inevitable when the old job is owned by a person who has six other projects, as opposed to the new job where the owner has one project and is very invested in it. I feel very lucky to have both jobs. This is helping me to pay for graduate school (as long as I don’t squander my money). I am also very lucky to have a boyfriend who is encouraging me in all areas of my life. Yay. Everybody be happy for me, I am doing well.
Caffe Etc! I love that place, Kristen and I used to go there everyday =)
